:: BASIC RELIGIOUS EDUCATION ::

More than one third of a century ago the founder of the institution Late Maulana Syed Ghulam Askari (May his soul be exalted) incepted five Maktabs (Basic Schools) and set a target of opening 1000 units initially. To spread religious awareness through education is the prime and foremost objective, which was set by the late founder. To achieve this goal the establishment of Makatib being started in Shia habitats of the country with the help and active participation of the natives. These steps proved fruitful and warmly welcomed by the community as the right step at the most appropriate moment. The moment of opening of Makatib covered 17 provinces of India from Jammu & Kashmir to Bengal and Karnataka. At this very time1014 Makatib are successfully running in which 1579 teachers are imparting the fundamental religious education to nearly 42074children. The institutions striving hard to reach up to the remotest Shia habitat so that every child of the community became literate with religious orientations.

SYLLABUS

As there was no such campaign before Tanzeem-ul-Makatib, therefore there was no books we had to inscribe and publish our home syllabus which comprises upon sixteen text books and includes the introductory knowledge of Holy Quran. Irrespective of Urdu language that is prescribed as a permanent subject in every Maktab, the Deeniyat (Theology) is taught in Hindi, English, Gujrati and Bengali languages besides Urdu. Ours is the first ever syllabus of any Shia institution which is though partially, recognized by the Govt. of India through Arabic and Persian Board, Allahabad and by the Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh.

MONITORING

Monitoring the performance of the Makatib is the main feature of our institution. All the units are divided into various zones. Center keeps watch continuously each upon through an Inspector. Each Makatib sends its monthly report to the head office, which comprises upon the monitory as well as the educational activity of the Makatib. Besides this inspector reports regularly to the head office, aid & allowances disbursed among the Makatib on behalf of this report regularly. Inspectors also guide the management and teachers and solve their problems locally as per rules.
