More than one third of a century ago, the founder
of the organization Late Maulana Syed
Ghulam Askari (May his soul be
exalted) incepted five Maktabs (Basic Schools)
and set a target of opening 1000 units initially.
To spread religious awareness through education is our prime and
foremost objective, as set by the late founder. To achieve this
goal the establishment of maktabs is being arranged in Shia habitats
of the country with the help and active participation of the natives.

Syllabus
A course of 19 books comprising introductory knowledge
of Holy Quran, Theology
primers& Urdu primers, Deeniyat (Theology) is taught in Hindi,
English, Gujarati and Bengali languages besides Urdu. Ours is the
first ever syllabus of any Shia institution which is, though partially,
recognized by the Govt. of India through Arabic
and Persian Board, Allahabad and by the Aligarh Muslim University,
Aligarh. Monitoring
Monitoring performance of the Maktab
is the main feature of our organization. All the units are divided
into various zones. Center keeps watch continuously upon them through
Inspectors. Each Maktab sends its monthly report
to the head office, which comprises the monetary as well as the
educational activity of the Maktab. Besides this,
Inspector reports regularly to the head office. Aid &
allowances are disbursed among the Maktabs
taking into accounts the respective reports regularly. Inspectors
also guide the management and teachers and solve their problems
locally as per rules. There are 23 Inspectors currently
engaged in the service .Maktabs:Number:1017 with 42,319 Students & 1650 Teachers Youth Education 1: Boys Education 2: Girls and Women Education Junior High School & High School level syllabus of religious education has been designed and prescribed for boys as well as for girls in post- maktab stage and is being taught at some places. |
